A R B O R E T A sound collective
ARBORETA is composed of Creative Arts Therapy candidates Sal Daña, Bebe Low and Grammy winning cellist Leah Coloff. The three practitioners use flute, cello, and singing bowls to provide an acoustic sound bath that attunes to the parasympathetic nervous system to assist in stress relief. Sound bath sessions have been shown to reduce cortisol levels in listening participants.
Acupressure ear seed treatments are also offered in tandem sound sessions. Ear seed treatments, utilized by the Black Panthers for community detox, are applied to specific acupressure points on the ear to provide benefits like stress relief and pain management.
Limited recordings are available to protect the privacy of individuals in sessions.
